It's hard to make a slicker, fancier Tele than the double bound custom in black. Unless, of course, you paint the headcap to match. This killer Fender Custom Shop 1960 Telecaster Custom is about as cool as it gets.
The quartersawn maple neck is given the treatment with a 10/56 "V" profile (inspired by the October, 1956 Strat neck) and a AAA dark rosewood board.
The ash body was sorted for lightweight (the entire guitar coming in at 7 lbs. 5.5 oz.), double bound, and finished in black nitro lacquer. The luster is dulled with just enough aging thanks to the closet classic finish. It has some swirls and checking but no dings or dents.
The '63 Tele pickups are paired with a treble bleed circuit on the volume pot for increased highs during roll off and a no load tone pot which when turned all the way up, bypassed the tone circuit altogether.
This is a classic Telecaster with just the right amount of Custom Shop. uty.
