Electro Harmonix Vintage 1980s Big Muff PI V6 - Used

This pedal is a 1980 Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi V6. The V6 circuit is the first return to transistors following the V4/V5 "Op-Amp" Big Muff. Aesthetically it has the same classic Silver/Red/Black artwork, with the new addition of "hockey puck" knobs. The V6 circuit is very similar to the V3 "Ram's Head" but tonally has more gain/sustain as well as more grit to it's sound. This version also includes the tone bypass switch which removes the tone stack from the circuit lending a more raw and pronounced tone that cuts through a band mix better than the Muffs signature scooped sound.

This pedal functions properly, the tone bypass switch is a bit gummy but functions as it should. The graphic features some slight wear and cracking and scratching. It also is missing three of its four top screws.
